Just a close up of our home at sunrise.
-
Tuesday morning snow
Snow is starting to add up a bit more by now.
-
Our back yard woods
The trees behind our house starting to look sugar frosted.
-

Another look out the back door.

The fields look great dressed in snow.
-
Our lane on Tuesday morning
Gwen decided to cancel her morning appointment and stay home.
-
Wednesday Morning
After snowing all day and into the night Tuesday, then the wind picked up with gusts to over 40 mph. Wednesday morning dawned clear, but still very windy.
-
Wednesday morning walk
My morning walk was a bit short this morning due to the cold and wind chill around -16 degrees F.
-
Snow drifts
The snow drifts were only about a meter at the most, and some sections of the lane had been blown clean by the wind.

Sun Dogs
Two sundogs were very evident at sunrise - one on each side of the rising sun. A litle like rainbows, but sundogs (at least in this case) were caused by the light prisming through blowing ice crystals.

Nic gets his initiation into shoveling snow!
...and asks himself "Why did I leave sunny Florida?"
-
Thank God for Glen Rogers & his snow plow!
We were all very happy to see our neighbor (and Gwen's second cousin), Glen plowing our lane. That would have been a bit too much to shovel by hand! Thanks Glen!
