Gwen & Mary
Mary Mom is the coordinator of our women's ministry in Cambodia which is primarily being accomplished through Project Hannah. Project Hannah is a global TWR initiative with the goal to offer God's love, peace, and hope to suffering, abused, and neglected women. Project Hannah was started in Cambodia in Jan 2000 and has seen excellent results.

Reviewing script for presentation with translator
All presentations were done through a translator. We are grateful for those that were willing to assist us in this way so that we could communicate with the various audiences more effectively.

Mtg at Boarding School in Tarm, Denmark
We had the opportunity to present the PH ministry to many different types of audiences during our trip. Here we are with a group of students attending a boarding school for secondary students in Denmark.

Gwen on coast of North Sea
The locations of our meetings took us around the width and breadth of Denmark. Here I am standing on the shore of the North Sea. Thankfully the weather was cool but not bitterly cold since it is only early winter.

Mtg with Women's Prayer Group
God has brought together many in Denmark who faithfully uphold the needs of women around the world in prayer, as well as the ministry of Project Hannah. Here we are meeting with a women's prayer group in Hvide Sande, Denmark.

Dinner in home of Danish TTB producer
Mary and I had the opportunity to meet a number of very interesting people during our trip. Here we had dinner with Jorgen, a Danish producer of the Thru the Bible program, and his wife, Lise.

Women's Mtg in Haderslev
Mary and I really appreciated the gracious hospitality extended to us during our trip to Europe. While communication was often times a challenge for us (unless there was someone that could translate for us nearby), we always had a warm reception. We also enjoyed the many candles that were ever present at any table setting. We were told that this is a tradition in Denmark to bring warmth and cheer during the short days/ long nights of winter.

Anette & Mary in Haderslev, Denmark
Anette was our key contact in Denmark for arranging the many details of our trip. She was a most gracious hostess, indeed.
-
"Chum Rip Sua"
"Chum Rip Sua" is the typical greeting in Cambodia. Here Mary teaches this greeting to one of the attendees at a meeting. She, along with the attendee, is wearing a "krama" which is a very, very common head covering in Cambodia for protection from the sun.

Downtown Copenhagen
Bikes are a very common mode of transportation. In fact, you can apparently use bikes free of charge in the center of Copenhagen, as the 20 Kroner deposit made is given back when the bike is returned.

Mtg on island of Bornholm, Denmark
Mary demonstrates how to put on a "krama".

Mtg with 2 Norea Radio Norway staff members
During our brief visit to Norway, we had the opportunity to visit the office of another partner who sponsors the Project Hannah ministry in Cambodia, Norea Radio Norway. It was a privilege to be able to interface with them "in person", and we very much appreciated their warm hospitality during our visit.
